Who We Are
Koracle is a personal project run by one person: Ryan. The site lives at k-beautyoracle.com. There is no company, no team, no investors. If you have questions, email me directly.
What We Collect
- Email address — only if you subscribe via the routine email feature. Never sold or shared with advertisers.
- GA4 analytics events — standard pageviews and quiz interaction events (e.g. which step you completed, which concern you selected). No personally identifiable information is attached to these events.
- Skin diagnostic profile — your answers to the quiz (skin type, primary concern, sensitivity level, etc.) are stored in Supabase when you submit your email. If you skip the email step, this data stays only in your browser and is never sent to a server.
- Browser storage — the following keys may be written to your browser:
kbo-profile,kbo-diagnostic-profile(sessionStorage — cleared when you close the tab), andkbo-saved-routines(localStorage — persists across sessions).
Third Parties
- Supabase — stores subscriber email addresses and skin profile data. Servers in the US.
- Resend — sends transactional emails (routine summaries, welcome sequence). Receives your email address when you subscribe.
- Amazon Associates — product links open amazon.com and include an affiliate tag. Amazon’s own privacy policy governs what happens on their site.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out via the GA opt-out browser add-on.
- Vercel — hosts the site and runs edge functions. Vercel may log request metadata (IP address, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.
Data Retention
- Subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- GA4 data retention is set to 14 months (Google’s default minimum).
- sessionStorage data is cleared automatically when you close the tab. localStorage data persists until you clear your browser storage or use a different device.
Your Rights
You can request deletion or export of any data Koracle holds about you by emailing ryaimu@gmail.com. Requests are handled manually and typically completed within a few business days. Every email also includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
